My Commitment To You

Early Achievers Home Daycare shares responsibility with all childcare providers in Ontario to ensure a high quality experience for children and families. I will work to build positive relationships with your child, providing an environment where children learn through play, exploration and inquiry; I will have an open-door policy in a "home like" setting. I will encourage children's independence and follow the lead of their interests; I want to support all of their curiosities. I will engage families and value their strengths, contributions and unique perspectives. I will also work extremely hard to prepare all children for smooth transitions in different developmental areas; physical, emotional, social and cognitive. The centre will be a registered, safe and nurturing environment where building of trustful relationships between myself and all of the children are established and maintained. Smaller ratios allow for more support from me and the ability to meet all of the children's needs immediately.

Your child will be viewed as competent, capable of complex thinking, curious and rich in potential, that I will value and build on their strengths. I will see you, the family, as experts. You are the individuals that know your child/ren better than anyone else and have important information to share. I hope that you will share your values with me and engage them in a meaningful way. I will see myself as a competent caregiver, educator and someone rich in experience and education in child care. I will be responsive and nurturing as I foster unconditional love. This view of myself, along with what I learn through relationships with the children, families and others in the community, allows me to create engaging experiences and environments. Adopting these perspectives in my practice will help work towards the goals for children and expectations for programming.

At Early Achievers Home Daycare, I endorse and promote the policy of programming for children through opportunities for leadership, self-regulation and inclusion. These learning skills are promoted through a challenging environment, which stimulates brain development in children 1 - 6 years of age. The programming and materials allow for self-correction, therefore, promotes independence in learning for all children in the program, regardless of their personal skill level. I will work with the children to encourage a sense of belonging and well-being. I will also support engagement in the program, which will prompt new avenues for personal expression. Early Achievers is a play-based learning centre; play-based learning is the way young children explore and make sense of the world. Through this type of learning, children develop self-confidence, positive self-images, social and language skills, curiosity and concentration.

Building positive, caring and responsive relationships with each child, will be of focus at Early Achievers Home Daycare. I feel that creating a home-like environment, which creates flexibility for each child's unique characteristics, abilities, and interests, is important to ensure children feel safe and comfortable. As the children's provider, I will focus on their social, emotional, physical and creative cognitive development in a holistic way, to warrant an all-inclusive environment. To maintain a quality home daycare, I will engage in ongoing learning and self-reflection.

Early Achievers Home Daycare looks forward to working with your family and being a part of your child/ren's early learning experiences. I will foster unconditional love for your family, especially your Early Achiever!
